The focal point of a well-functioning water garden is the pump. Through it are the sound and visual effect of moving water is circulated. The most imperative concern in choosing a pump is, "What are you going to use the pump for, a fountain, a waterfall, or just simple recirculation?". Choosing a pump for a statue, fountain spray or recirculation is far different from choosing one for building a waterfall.
